2012 Hair Must Haves So Far....... @ 6:39 PM

I love trying out new hair products and also maintaining my old faithfuls! Here are a few products I will be using for this year and probably forever :)

1.Moroccanoil Treatment

I just got this product for Christmas, and lets just say It is amazing! This product can be used on all types of hair, either wet or curly. It leaves your hair soft and shiny and even though it is an oil, you can use as much as needed and your hair won't feel oily at all. Moroccanoil is a tad bit pricey, but it is definitely worth the money. If you decide to purchase this product, make sure you buy it from a salon, or an online hair store that won't sell you a fake product.  I can't wait to use the rest of the line and see how well it works!http://moroccanoil.com/products/Moroccanoil-Treatment
2. Mixed Chicks

For those of you who know me, know that I swear by this line for curly hair or anybody that may want to have a natural look. Everything from the shampoo to the leave in conditioner is great. These products eliminate frizz, add shine, and tame unruly curls. If you are looking just for something to put in your hair before styling, then just buy the leave in conditioner and you will be amazed.   http://www.mixedchicks.net/

3. Sultra Flat Irons

When it comes to flat irons, I feel like you pay for what you get. If you don't pay much for one, it may not last as long as the more expensive ones would most likely last. Now I am so in love with my GHD flat iron that I have had for going on about 5 years. It still works like its brand new and I thought I would never be able to part with it, until I found out about Sultra. All I can say is WOoW. These Flat irons are amazing! I went to Cosmo proof with my Aunt one day and we were able to try the Sultra Seductress iron out. Of Course, with my Aunt being a stylist, my hair was going to look amazing anyway, but the iron itself just blew me away.My hair was a mess that day and my aunt did one curl and it was soft, shiny and the iron wasn't too hot like some of these flat irons can be these days.  I can't even describe it, you just gotta go pick one up for yourself! I haven't purchased my Sultra Flat iron yet, but I will be getting one very soon! http://www.sultra.com/

Hair Mask!! @ 4:26 PM

       Hey everyone!

So its the New year and I'm sure you all have resolutions that you are hoping to keep up throughout the year. Well one of my resolutions, is getting my hair back to the way it was.
Last December I cut my hair short again and loved it so so much. When I was getting it cut my stylist used a razor to thin out my hair. I never had anyone thin out my hair so I didn't think much of it. A few weeks later I noticed when I would wear my hair straight that my ends just wouldn't straighten and my hair just wasn't feeling the same. Imagine your hair being straight and then on the ends being nappy and frizzy. Yes, horrible :( I started getting my hair trimmed so that maybe it would grow out, but it just doesn't seem to want to go away unless I do another big chop, and I definitely don't want to do that again, at least not right now.
Well, I have been researching different natural hair mask and decided to make my own recipe using different ingredients from the hair mask recipes I have been reading about. Let me tell you that this recipe is AWESOME. My hair feels so much better and softer and when I straightened it, there was a huge difference :) Okay so I know you are probably wanting this recipe so here it is!

You will need

My Directions
   - I went ahead and put the mask on my hair while it was dry and let it sit for about 3 hrs. I would say at least leave it on for about 30-45 min to really get into your hair and help condition it. Afterwards I  rinsed it out with cool/warm water. You wanna make sure the water is not too hot because you don't want the egg to cook leaving  little egg particles in your hair. I then proceeded with my normal shampoo/conditioning routine which is two shampoos and then my conditioner, and that was about it!

You've gotta try this and let me know how the recipe worked for you :)
